Sheep Shearing at Kelsey Creek

Since we live so close and there have been signs up for a while, we decided to go to the Kelsey Creek Park to check out what all this "sheep shearing" hype was about the other weekend. We were surprised to find out it's a pretty big event! Thankfully we got there early and were able to find parking a few blocks away. They had sheep shearing, of course, and then all the animals were out - chickens, roosters, bunnies (Maggie pet her first one), and they had dogs showing how they herd sheep - pretty neat. Maggie is too young this year for the face painting, hay rides, and pony rides - but next year IT'S ON!
