On a cold, rainy and windy day we bundled up our green-clad kids and walked the St. Patty's Day Dash in Seattle. It was actually a lot of fun! The weather didn't turn terrible till we were on our way back to the car, and Maggie loved seeing all the people dressed up as we walked the 5k course. The best part of the day was realizing that, one minute before the race started, we were standing shoulder to shoulder with my cousins Lyndsie, Mandie, Tasha and my Aunt Mary. What a small world!

Trying to stay dry before the race started.

My little green peas.

Maggie got her first "tattoo"s that day. She ended up with the shamrock on her
cheek and a leprechaun and fairy on her fists. The fairy stayed around for a week - slowly coming off day by day. She would say "Where's her head, Momma?" "What happened to her feet?" "It's just her tummy now, mommy."

What a difference a few days makes. On the actual St. Patrick's Day the sun came out for us to enjoy. Maggie stood still long enough for me to get a picture of her on my mom's deck (watching the birds in Papa's feeder).

Such a big boy - Charlie didn't pay too much attention to green food on this day - most of the food he eats is green anyway!
