Our little Charlie is quite a guy. Loud when he wants to be (WAY louder than Maggie) but often found babbling to himself as he runs around the house, getting into everything and always staying busy. He is a snuggler and much shyer than Mags, but just as funny and a huge flirt. At this age Maggie was talking quite a bit - she wasn't much of a babbler or nonsense but actually talked to us. It was great. We knew what she wanted and how she felt. Charlie is a man of few words. He can tell us: bye bye, night night, uh-oh, wow, and a few other basics. He signs for water and food - and the classic "more". Other than that, he speaks his own language. Although he doesn't have many words, he has started to really get sounds. He can tell you what an elephant sounds like, can do any task you ask him to do, and can figure out how to work any remote, phone, or ipod left hanging around. He is inquisitive, a love bug, and incredibly active. He is a tornado in the house, obsessed with being outside, and wants to play with every kid he sees. He is simply so much fun - loud, but fun.
